However, they may become the top six percent of the industry, but that leaves an awful lot of possibilities for those of us who are not the top salesperson type.

To be successful in network marketing takes simply opening your mouth to virtually anyone along your path and telling them how great you feel because of your success in your business. That alone will attract the kind of people who will join you, precisely because they are not top sales people. Then, the only skill that you need to succeed is the ability to ask them if they are ready to give it a try, and to guide them through the process of enrollment.

Now that is a skill that all of us can develop. That is what is reproducible. If only six percent are the true sales types, then there are a vast amount of people for the rest of us to build with! Let's do it.

Re: What is your definition of commitment?

C'mon, man! I know the duathlons are tough - I've done 'em. But what is life without a bit of challenge, especially those that you can control (bike fast, run slow, etc). Show your true colors and tackle that "du" like you do everything else! Define your commitment to this! You'll feel amazing accomplished when you cross that finish line, I promise you! Best of luck!

Re: The Business of the 21st Century – Part I

Drew we haven' t spoken for a while but you have always been on the back of my hbrain. This book is about a switch in paradigm, and how we have been trained through fear to become cogs of this slowing machine we call mediocrity. Everyday I run into more people who can benefit from each of our experiences.Rich dad poor dad is about going for it, and not stopping until your there. Its about the last hurdle, which is almost always the first as well. Talk soon and thanks for still believing.

Re: What is your definition of commitment?

Commitment is HUGE in network industry. Most people just give up the FIRST time they hit a road block. Here it is 4 years later in Isagenix (BTW still in my FIRST AND LAST network marketing company) and my life has changed in so many ways that I would never have guessed - of course ALL FOR THE BEST! I
know people who sell products that I personally would not pay 200.00 for a vacuum
cleaner or a facial gel that turns back aging but there are a demographic of
people who would buy that and tons of reps that have become very successful. I
also know people in my area that have come off their jobs for selling makeup
and body garments for 100 or more but I know my mothers area probably would
care less about 50.00 foundation set with special fiber brushes. Then there are
health products all different ingredients..some do the same things at different
price points-herbalife, body by vii list goes on. I have had friends tell me my
health products are too expensive in their mind they would rather drink a
sugar-filled slimfast but I met a complete stranger who has diabetes who paid
for 2 packages and only met me in the store and said not one thing pertaining
to the price being an issue…so my point is it is great if your product has a
good price point that appeals to everyone cause it sure does make it easier to
get over the hurdle of cost but as long as you believe, have the passion to
keep pressing on I think the price is relative.

What are your thoughts?

Re: The Business of the 21st Century – Part II

Awesome tips..thanks for sharing

Re: MLM Ranking: How does network marketing compare to other industries?

Love it Drew!

Re: Organizational Theories: The Code of Honor

Hey Helene! Yes, to wrap your mind around these concepts is to truly appreciate their power! Traditional business, small business, home based business (with a team, of course) - literally any business where folks work together as a team towards common goals will benefit from these organizational theories. Thanks for commenting, Helene!

Re: Organizational Theories: The Code of Honor

Great post Drew, very powerfully put many traditional business could really find value in this. I have never heard of the book or film “Atlas Shrugged” before, even throughout my entire academic career. This book sounds really interesting. I like the challenging questions that the book seems to ask and how the network marketing industry seems to be the answer to some of these questions. I hope there are many more articles like these to come.

Re: Atlas Shrugged, And How To Keep From Falling Off The Earth

My "hero" in Atlas Shrugged was Francisco d'Anconia, particularly his monologue on "money is the root of all evil". But of great fascination to me was to experience the awakening of Hank Reardon.

It is the responsibility of the fortunate to assist those less fortunate. Taking Hank Reardon's view, those on those on the receiving side have to recognize that they are not ENTITLED to what they are getting, but are receiving this solely because those who have are willing to share. It is truly a question of appreciation vs. entitlement.

Everyone is entitled to their fair share of what they have contributed to, either via "sweat equity" of direct contribution, but not more than that. To expect more than that is simply wrong. To be given more simply divine and must be properly recognized and appreciated... and more importantly, passed on with interest.

Re: Your Success Coach – Everyone Needs a Guru, or two, or three…

You should also have right beliefs and right thoughts in your mind otherwise approach toh how to get success will be frustrating

Re: Earn Money Fast: Is It Really That Easy?

Great article Drew, I know there are a lot of people out there who are skeptical about making easy money online.
